Residential, Antwerp
The couple’s briefing was to design a living space with the allure of a loft, yet to make a distinction between the functions.
Key was to create an environment with a strong acoustic performance where serenity and silence could be found at any time of day or night.
The apartment is situated on the site of the former military hospital, wich has a strong authentic appearance. Some defined semi- industrial structural elements are integrated into the contemporary design.
The utilitarian character of the space is enhanced by the choice of a flooring in oak wood. Furniture in teak brings warmth and symbolizes the inhabitants’ love for vintage.
